String Quilt String quilts are fun to make and scrap quilts are fun to explore..My ongoing string block quilt uses smaller blocks (5 1/2" finished), and so I thought using a bigger block for this quilt might make it go together a little more quickly. I am kind of hooked.. This cheerful Sunshine quilt pattern has a center medallion and a saw-tooth stripe across the top and bottom. Not that I don`t shop Joann`s for Kona solids and backing fabric. The picture below is before I washed it..Don`t worry about trimming them to any particular size — a good variety of sizes looks best in a string quilt

I attribute this to the fact that I have a stock pile of (guilt) ---and quilt tops from our Remnants mini group to get finished that have& . I love washed crinkled quilts..
